Affiliate marketing basics and major points

Whether you realize it or not, if you've been on the Internet today, you have encountered affiliate marketing. If you have ever "clicked thru" one site to order something from another, the first site probably received a portion of the sale. For instance, independent booksellers have limited shelf space for books. But they can offer their customers an almost unlimited inventory of titles by affiliating with companies like Amazon or Powell's. The more orders, the bigger the affiliate percentage.

Visitors to your site are interested in lots of things that may or may not be related to your product. But when you know your customers well, it's simply a matter of affiliating yourself with sites that offer what they want. What you receive is just a small percentage of the sale, but it adds up, especially when you consider that all it costs you is a link on your web page. And usually, the more sales your affiliate makes from your "click thru" traffic, the bigger your percentage will be. There are at least half a dozen methods, but by far the most preferred method is Cookie Tracking. It's popular because it makes tracking affiliate-referred sales so convenient, without negatively impacting your site. This system writes a small text file, called a "cookie," to a user's browser when they click on an affiliate link. When you are the referring affiliate, the cookie holds your ID, so that at the merchant's order page, you get credit for referring the sale. One drawback is that many computer users disable cookies, although most choose not to, since their favorite sites require them. One bonus is that the merchant can save the information, so that even if a customer buys long after clicking through your site, you still get credit for the sale.

The key to success in affiliate marketing is being able to track referred customers. As an affiliate manager, you want a system that reliably tracks what you want, with minimal effort on your part, and without affecting the performance of your site or server. Over the last few years a variety of technologies and strategies have been developed in an attempt to improve accuracy, convenience, and flexibility.

There are at least half a dozen methods, but by far the most preferred method is Cookie Tracking. It's popular because it makes tracking affiliate-referred sales so convenient, without negatively impacting your site. One bonus is that the merchant can save the information, so that even if a customer buys long after clicking through your site, you still get credit for the sale.

Affiliate marketing, at its best, is a win-win scenario. It's an easy way to offer your customers more of what they want, while you benefit, both in terms of building goodwill and making money.

How To Find The Best PPC Keyword Tools

"How to Find the Best PPC Keyword Tools"

For any online marketer finding the right keywords is akin to finding the Holy Grail. If you can find effective keywords and use them to run a pay per click (PPC) campaign you will make a lot of money. There are tons of keyword research tools available online. There are e-books, audios, videos, software, etc. The trick than becomes how to find the best PPC keyword tools. With so many choices online today where do you go? How do you choose which PPC keyword tools will give you the biggest bang for your buck?

One of the first places I would recommend looking is on Clickbank or Paydot. These are two digital products websites. They sell e-books, audios, videos and software on hundreds of different topics, many of which are internet marketing. If you do a search of the marketing products you will find a list of perhaps hundreds of different products. Once you have found the type of PPC keyword tool you are interested in Clickbank will give you information on sales, refund rates, etc.

What you want to find is a product that has consistently high sales with low refund rates. If many people are buying (and not returning) the product there is a high chance that it will work for you too.

Clickbank also has a very liberal return policy. If you purchase a PPC keyword tool and find that it isn't what you want you can always return it for a full refund Almost all products on Clickbank come with a 100% no questions asked guarantee though some do not. Make sure to check the return policy of whatever product you buy. If there is a 100% refund guarantee than Clickbank is very good about issuing a refund in a timely manner.

You can also go to forums dedicated to internet marketing, affiliate marketing, etc. There will be many knowledgeable people who participate regularly in these forums. Most internet marketers will be more than happy to help you out and answer your questions. Ask for some recommendations on PPC keyword tools. Try to check out several different programs. Since each person who developed a program will have had different experiences you can gain a lot from using more than one tool. You will get a much more diverse 'education' by picking the brains of more than one internet marketer.

So to sum up. There are hundreds of PPC keyword tools. Take a little time and do some research to find the right one for you and your needs and skill level. Don't make the same mistakes most new online marketers make: trying to skimp on spending money on their online eduction. If you are unwilling to spend the time and money necessary to learn how to do PPC campaigns as well as other methods of online advertising than you are never going to achieve the results you want. Spend some time and money now to have more time and money later.

Free SEO Reports - CRM is Offering Customers

CashRichMoney is Offering Customers Free Reports on Any Website Through their Email on Contact Page of CashRichMoney.com

Having to understand the aspects of search engine robots and websites rightfully optimized to be search friendly., Correct Search Engine Optimization Strategies will lead to successful websites and potentially more money in your pocket. Using good relevant content to what consumers are searching for, eliminating bad links as well as reducing flash and images will result in a search engine friendly website. The indexing can happen either by following a link or a submission request. Basically a crawler is capable of scanning the content of a site from the meta tags and navigation, to the copy content, and following any internal or external links available. Then this information is sent to a datacenter for further processing, and final indexing. As information changes, the bot will keep visiting the site for these changes on a given interval that is different from one site to the other.

Toronto, Ontario- CashRichMoney.com is offering customers free reports on any website through their email on the contact page of cashrichmoney. These reports are very costly and will indeed increase greater results in traffic flow. However, cashrichmoney will have this free offer until September 14.

Websites are rapidly increasing with flashy banners, images and the popular flash animations exposing unique design to the website. However, unsuspecting website designers motivated by the thought of incoming traffic do not realize the implications of using these specific tools on a website. Using source codes the smart way will increase chances with search engine robots in terms of indexing the website and having it on search engine result pages on a daily basis.

Such tools are content, content and contents! The more text minus flash/images = better result + more traffic. Search Engine Robots such as good bot have never been fond of web designers using a lot of images and Flash, it takes up useless space on the website and because of that Search Engine Robots do not index these specific animations; Instead they index content relevant to what people are searching for online (phrases and keywords). Using source codes the smart way will increase chances with search engine robots in terms of indexing the website and having it on search engine result pages on a daily basis. Using the formula mentioned above is a great strategy to use and will slowly but surely bring additional traffic and results

"CashRichMoney will be providing visitors of its www.cashrichmoney.com website with free reports to help analyze their own website, an in-depth report will be given when visitors e-mail CashRichMoney Operatives directly from the website." - Faraz Dayvandi CashRichMoney Manager of Operations

What to do On-Line

It can be easily said today that you can live a normal life in front of a computer with internet connection. You can communicate with people, buy almost everything from online stores and actually get a job that you can work from home through internet. We can safely say that the internet today is growing into a parallel world kind of deal. In the World Wide Web, we see many things that are alike to our life in the off-line world. There are communities of people, auction houses, stores, and companies that are made directly for the on-line world which eventually affects both on and off line world.

In online communities, you are given an account to represent yourself and to befriend others by linking yourself with other accounts. People write posts and upload pictures to express themselves and communicate with others like the off-line community. You can go visit auction house websites such as ebay or go to an online store website such as amazon and shop in front of your desk. You can even book and plan a whole trip from an online website. Though it seems like the internet is convenient with methods to do everything on it, some people say it is hard for others who doesn't know the website address and ultimately, it would be useless since there are not that many ways to advertise online websites to others, but I say otherwise.

Like the off-line community, people from the online community send links for websites of online stores, websites, and companies that they really like and discuss about them. How their product or programs were really helpful and how the other was more convenient, kind of like those talks over coffee table of how they got a better deal on a certain product than the other guy and thus advertising for their company. There are banners of advertisement on major websites like the billboards on the major freeways we ride on. There are online marketing websites that does directory advertising, and optimize some search engines so that it is easier to search for a certain product or a website through a search engine.

There are many other ways to advertise a website; Brochures and TV/radio commercials with website addresses for people to go to, website addresses on the box of the product to find more information, website address on a movie poster, on a T-shirt, and some people even use spam emails to advertise online. There are countless ways to advertise your online store, both on and offline. Many different ways of advertising are being developed everyday by the people who realize the power of online marketing. As internet is growing into a parallel world, it is becoming more like our world in a sense that it is being used as another method of making money. It is being too commercialized. Though it is a unique medium, like the TV, where both entertainment and commercialization co-exist, we should take caution while utilizing this medium.

How to Flood Your Dealership with Customers

There is a revelation that is shocking and, quite frankly, scary. A dangerous and potentially fatal mistake is being made everyday in businesses. The mistake is the confusion between strategy and tactics. Strategy is your overall goal for your business and your overall marketing philosophy to achieve those goals. Tactics are executable actions you take to achieve those options. The good news is that once you have clarity about your strategy, and then apply emotional direct response marketing methods, you can create a continual stream of customers to your business. The scary part is that it is as easy as flipping on a light switch, and yet very few people know and understand the simple secrets to make this happen.

Your business is actually comprised of two businesses: the people business and the marketing business. You can be great with your people skills and handling of customers, but if you don't have the customers to be great with, it won't matter. Lead generation equals dollar creation. You live and die by the success or failure of your marketing efforts to create new customers and retain existing ones.

There are three simple things you can do immediately to make a dramatic impact on your customer flow and sales: Market, Message and Media

Step One - Define who your market is. If you were asked who your average customer is, do you really know? Do you know where they live, what they do for a living and what their hopes, dreams and fears are? Have you begun to break down every element of what makes up your best potential market of customers? Many dealerships open the doors every day and spend tons of money to drive customers through the door without ever giving extensive thought to who their market really is. Successful businesses don't try to do business with everybody. If you believe your market is everyone, you are wasting tons of money. You must match your message to your market. The more accurately you define your message while also narrowing your market and niche, the more success you have. You also greatly increase your return on investment.

Step Two - Define an effective message. Remember that you are not in the car business. You are in the emotions business. Your customers don't buy cars. What they are doing is seeking to emotionally solve their perceived problems. If you believe you are in the car business, you have just grouped yourself into a fishbowl with every car dealership and every sales person in the world. You can immediately differentiate yourself by creating an SDP (Specific Defining Proposition) built upon emotional pull.

In other words, what does your business do better, more of or more originally than any other business in the world? Begin to tell your story. Facts tell; stories sell. You may not have spent enough time figuring out what your story is that positions and sells you. If you don't believe you or your business is better or unique, I would argue that you are wrong, and you should do more work on figuring it out. If, after careful consideration, you still don't believe you are better or unique in any way, the good news is that it probably doesn't even matter. Since most people or businesses never tell their story, you will automatically differentiate yourself and stand out if you do. There are three legs that must be established to create a winning marketing approach to your business: Message, Market and Media. You have now created the second of three legs that builds your business - the message.

Make sure that all of your marketing messages contain the following: an emotional story, a specific and incredible offer, a strong sense of urgency with a specific call to action, multiple ways to respond and, if possible, a specific deadline that creates a real or perceived fear of loss for a lack of action by that date.

Step Three - Define your media strategy. Be forewarned, advertising agencies are usually nothing more than commissioned based media sales agents. The focus of the majority of advertising agents is to place the largest amount of money possible in media. This is a recipe for waste and lackluster results. Although there are technically no bad media selections, you must define which medium is best for your market and message. If you can't dominate a medium, can you dominate the way you use the medium (for example, infomercial versus regular TV)?

A huge mistake would be to believe that the medium itself is what gets you the results. A good example of this is a dealership that chooses a particular medium, such as radio or TV, as their favorite and then places tons of ads that are strictly brand-based messages. For dealerships, branding should always be of secondary importance to the actual direct response offer. The best way for a dealership to build a brand is to sell a bunch of vehicles. Unless you are Budweiser, Coca-Cola or some other huge brand with tons of money, spending money on brand-based advertising is like pouring money down the drain. You are in the business of creating customers and profit, not in the ego-inflation business.

When you get very clear about your strategy and tactics and use emotional direct-response marketing to achieve your goals, you will have flipped on the switch to a continual flow of customers and sales.

Leadership Tips -- How Am I Doing?

Introduction

How do you get feedback? If you have a boss, chances are you get periodic performance reviews. They're focused on the numbers, as they should be, and might include your boss's perception of your people skills, client skills, teamwork, etc.

If you're the top dog, you may have a board of directors who again will be focused on the numbers. Hopefully you also talk to clients and partners, and other advisors to get some sense of how to improve your performance.

But What About My Leadership Skills?

If you're in charge of more than a handful of people, it's hard to know how they perceive you. (But you do want to know, don't you?)

Quite a few years ago I was for the first time leading a large organization (more than 100 people). The company was very large, meaning I was in middle management. Things were going reasonably well, projects were getting done, and I thought I was doing a pretty good job.

The company that year got excited about a new practice called upward feedback, so they instituted a formal program for all management above a certain level. We would all collect upward feedback from our people, share it with our own bosses, and it would be part of our appraisals. OK, I'm pretty confident. Bring it on.

The feedback took me down like a punch in the gut. I had some good points, but I got some awfully low scores in areas that basically labeled me as intimidating and unapproachable. Now I have my faults, but these would not have made the list on my own self appraisal.

The score is the score, but I didn't understand. There were some verbatims that came with the numbers, but they were way too general. I needed more information. No way was this going to continue.

Look Out, I'm Wired

Fortunately, I went about this the right way. I brought together a couple of skip level small groups, and I opened up to them. I showed them the data (i.e. the feedback scores), and the limited verbatim feedback. I made it clear that they were in the safest environment possible; they could tell me I was worse than Attila the Hun and I would thank them and never hold it against them.

They were great people, and they responded to my plea for help. While there were several ideas they gave me to improve my approachability, the number one issue they cited was my office!

Now I had a great office. The building had glass bubble towers, and my office was in a bubble. All glass, floor to ceiling, great view. I had a great desk too. It was big, old and solid. When we had to knock on wood in my office, we had real wood for knocking.

We held lots of informal meetings in my office, and it seems that was where the problem started. People would pull up chairs, to my big, old, solid, imposing desk. And I would be sitting behind that big old desk in a big, comfortable leather chair. I wasn't trying to be intimidating, just comfortable.

It wasn't the only change I made, but I quickly rearranged that office. No, I didn't get rid of the desk. After all, it was a beauty. What I did was push it up against a wall. Now when I sat at the desk, I faced the wall. When someone came into the office, I had to turn away from the big desk and face people in an open area. I also worked on smiling more.

Did It Work?

Yes, and my later upward feedback results proved it. But the company soon moved past "upward feedback". Today they and many other companies have a 360 feedback program involving bosses, subordinates, clients and partners. They don't focus much on the subordinate part.

As a leader, you need upward feedback. You need it for yourself, so you can continually improve your leadership effectiveness. You need it so you know how people are responding to the ideas, direction and support you provide them.

Ask for it formally, at regular intervals. Six months is good, but even if it's only once a year, do it. Share the results with your people, so they know they were heard. Act on it when you can, and when you decide not to take action on their input, tell them what you've decided and why.

Confident leaders go out of their way to seek critical feedback. Be a confident leader.

7 Tips to Dealing with a Toxic Boss

Managers aren't created equal and you will run into one at times who is toxic. This can mean that they are abusive or a bully and you still have to work with them. Many people get emotional and depressed in these types of situations and others decide to quit.

You should know that it is not a good thing for a boss to act in such a way, but there are some who just can't help themselves. They think that since they are the boss they can treat a subordinate any way they want.

Since most people are afraid of their boss because they have the ability to fire them, most employees will put up with this situation rather than say anything. However, this may not be the best way to act either.

Dealing with a toxic boss is in no way easy. While sometimes you may be able to grin and bear it, at other times you may want to shout.

If you have found yourself in a situation with a toxic boss, here are 7 tips to deal with the situation:

1.Be brave -- many people are afraid to confront a toxic boss and this is probably the best thing you can do. However, it takes courage to confront someone who has power. The first thing to do is to ask for a meeting with the boss when you know they will be in the office and free of interruptions.

2.Write down issues that you have seen - think about the issues that are upsetting and make a list. Take the list to your boss in a diplomatic way. That is, don't accuse them of being any certain way, but tell them what you have seen and how it seems to effect you and the team.

3.Be worthy of respect and ask for it - when you are talking with your boss, let them know you are worthy of their respect and request that they give you the respect you deserve. Tell them the type of behavior you expect from others.

4. Document problems - besides your list in #2, keep a list of problems you see that are reoccurring. At some point you may need to go to a higher authority and if so, you have a documented list (dates, what happened) to take with you.

5.Stay Calm - don't let the boss see you become emotional about the situation and don't show anger at the boss. These two behaviors can loose respect and change the situation for you on the job.

6.Report the behavior - if all else fails and the behavior continues, don't be afraid to report it. Most companies have a way to report a grievance and you should know this policy and act on it if you need to do so.

7.Know when to leave - as Kenny Rogers once said, "You've got to know when to hold them...when to fold them... and when to walk away." Sometimes leaving a situation is the best thing you can do for yourself and it is better than staying within the toxic situation.
